Recipe for Pecan Tarts

3 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
Soften cream cheese and butter and blend.
Stir in the flour and chill one hour.
Divide into 2 dozen- one inch balls and press dough into muffin pan.
Filling
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon soft butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of salt
2/3 cup pecans
Beat all ingredients together except pecans.
Put 1/2 pecans in the shell, then the filling, and top with rest of nuts.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes

Great for showers or festive party!!
